Pasta cutters and pasta roller attachment set for making pasta with all mixers.
Product summary
The pasta cutters and roller (5KSMPRA) are for those makers who love fresh pasta at home. Once you step into pasta making, it can easily turn into an obsession. Satisfying for all the senses, pasta feels great in your hands and tastes fresh and flavourful. This 3-piece set includes a pasta roller and 2 pasta cutters. Made of stainless steel, the attachments screw securely into the attachment hub of any KitchenAid stand mixer. First, roll out sheets of any thickness you like using the 8 thickness settings. You’ll want to make it thick for tagliolini, medium for lasagne or ravioli and thin for linguine or “angel hair” pasta. Then, it’s time to have fun with pasta cutting – any type of noodle is a breeze. Feed in your pasta sheets to the spaghetti or the fettuccine pasta cutter accessories. You’ll receive a guide with the product to explain the various settings and results you can achieve when cooking.
Make traditional pasta from scratch
If you want to master the art of pasta making at home, the KitchenAid pasta cutters and roller 3-piece set is for you. This commercial-style trio gives amazingly professional results to your food and, of course, the matchless taste and texture of fresh, authentic pasta. Bravissimo!
Turn your KitchenAid mixer into a pasta maker
Whether your KitchenAid stand mixer is old or new – these nifty pasta-making attachments will be a fit. They are cleverly designed to fit all of our stand mixer models. Simply add them to the multipurpose attachment hub and you’re ready to start making pasta.
Once you’ve rolled your homemade dough to the thickness you want, simply attach the spaghetti or fettuccine cutters to make beautifully neat and consistent strands of your favourite pasta. Nothing beats the taste of fresh homemade pasta, and now it’s easier than ever to make it.
Get ready to roll
Forget the rolling pin, this stainless steel attachment takes all the hard work out of pasta rolling. Because the rollers are turned by your mixer, your hands are free to feed the pasta through – and catch it at the other end!
Divide your pasta dough into pieces and flatten with your hands. Sprinkle a little flour on each piece of dough, to stop it from sticking, then fit the pasta roller into the attachment hub. Select the widest roller setting to begin kneading – folding and feeding the dough through again and again. Then, you’re ready to roll until you reach the thickness you want. Beautifully even sheets of dough, without breaking a sweat.
Cut pasta like a professional
Now you have your smooth pasta sheets, it’s time to cut. Perfect ribbons of pasta are a doddle with the KitchenAId pasta cutters. Choose the pasta cutter you want and insert it into the attachment hub.
The fettuccine cutter is great for egg noodles or fettuccine, and the spaghetti cutter for spaghetti, thin fettuccine or linguine fini. Just feed your pasta sheet through the cutter, then catch the strands and loosely fold them as you go along. You’ll need to air dry them before cooking, refrigerating or freezing them, for a handy meal anytime.
Give your tools a bit of love in return for perfect pasta
To get the most out of your mixer attachments, give them as much love you would for the pasta they helped you make. They’re not suitable for washing in the dishwasher, and shouldn’t be immersed in water either. Instead, use the included cleaning brush to brush off excess flour and remove any dried bits of dough and pasta.
Once a year, or after 50 or so uses, you can add a drop of light mineral oil to each corner of your attachments as lubrication. If you do this, you can be sure they’ll be helping you make your best pasta for years to come.
Traditional craft with modern durability
Staying true to the tradition of pasta making, our pasta cutters and roller are made in Italy. They’re all made from durable stainless steel, giving you a precise and consistent cut every time, from spaghetti to ravioli. Ideal for large batches in a busy kitchen, or when you have friends that expect a certain level of quality from your handiwork!
Don’t be surprised if you see these in a professional kitchen. They’re built to last, even with heavy daily use. Once you see, feel, and taste the pasta that comes out, you’ll want to put it through its paces for your cooking on a regular basis too.
